Today is Palm Sunday. Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey and people waved palm branches, laid them on the road in front of him, along with their cloaks.

Why?
Because entering the city on a donkey was like a King entering a city. Jesus was a King and many people knew that. Many did not and many did not want to believe it.
More than Christmas, Easter is very important. Jesus gave up His life that we may have eternal life with God. Before Jesus, the Israelites had to to do many offerings and sacrifices to atone for their sin. It was hard. But Jesus died for ALL our sins, everyone's sins so that we wouldn't have to do that any more. Our sins nailed Jesus to the cross. That's a hard thing to think about and take. Jesus also rose again out of death and He lives today. NO other God can say that. Jesus took the keys of death and while satan can some days make our lives miserable, in the end, he loses because Jesus has already won. Satan is only the prince of this world. Jesus is King, now and forever. Jesus doesn't promise an easy life but He does promise eternal life.
The Canadian Bible Society has daily readings for this Holy Week.
Today is Mark 11:1-11
May this be a week of celebration, remembrance and thanks.
It's not about the bunny. It's about Him. Afterall, what the heck has the bunny done for you?
